I’m an Aquarius, an extroverted introvert, and a lover of live music. In 2023, I became a mom on my birthday, and that will be my fun fact for as long as I live! 

I’m happiest when I’m sitting outside somewhere beautiful with my daughter, my dog, and my high school sweetheart hubby, Bryan. 

Bryan and I moved from Chicago to California in March 2020. Despite having an apocalyptic cross-country move, we immediately felt at home in Marin and have yet to get sick of the glorious and confusing weather. We’re originally from New York, and we head back a few times a year to see our families and stock up on bags of everything bagels. 

Photography is my greatest passion, and I feel so lucky I get to do what I love each day.

I'm Taryn, and I'm so glad you're here!

Let’s get to know each other. 

Year by Year

2008

My first paid photo job! My classmate trusted me to photograph her Sweet 16. 

2013

Graduated from Indiana University and moved to Chicago where I started my first real side business in photography. I started photographing families and couples almost every weekend.

2016

Got a new job in Chicago that had me doing a lot more photography work! In addition to doing social media strategy, I would travel around the country to tradeshows and events taking photos for different brands. 

2017

Married my high school sweetheart back on Long Island! Our wedding photographer is still such a mentor to me <3 

my own wedding!
2020

Moved to California and started to take freelance photo jobs in Marin and San Francisco. I met a lot of my wonderful new neighbors during the “lockdown” phase and photographed a lot of their babies outside while masked and at a “social distance.” What a time to be alive. 

2022

Launched Taryn Beller Photo and went full time with photography!!! After 14 years of dreaming about it :-) I could not be more excited. 

2023

Welcomed my daughter on my 32nd birthday! Fun fact, not only do we share a birthday, but I found out I was pregnant the day the same day I launched my business. Turned out I was pregnant in the picture above, but it would be a few days before I knew!
